Pancakes, yard art

Barnes Crossing Campground
near the office
I wonder just how warm this stove would have kept a small room. and thewaterpotjust looks so large for this small wood stove but that's how it is. I wonder how many cups of water have been made in that waterpot or tea kettle (how ever you want to call it). Some things look really old around here, and some things look almost brand new.
I've not be up long, but wanted to go through my recipe book I've been posting from and discovered there are a few repeats in the recipes,, and many that I have skipped.. (Oops) Guess I better "fix" that. Most of the recipes I've been posting to different cooking and recipe groups I'm in (Yahoo groups) but then i woul forget to post to my blog. So I'm going back through the recipes and finding those I haven't posted here and will take care of that.

Love the old cast Iron stoves...reminds me of my child hood when we had a "warm Morning" Cast Iron stove. You would be suprised at how much heat one will put off using coal!!
