Good Morning.

Good Morning. I hope you had a good nights sleep.
Jerry and I had a nice weekend. Saturday, after breakfast we went to Wal-mart to cash his check and the lady in the money center said she didn't have enough to cover it and that the costumer Service didn't have it either.  Jerry was NOT happy. We had to go to the RV center to order a part for the camper. Our propane tank connection was leaking and we need to replace the flex hose on the end that attaches to the tank. They don't have them in stock. It will be this next weekend before they have any. They have to order them and are waiting for more items to be ordered before they place an order... so it will be next weekend before we can pick it up.  (Sigh)  Since we were so close and still had to cash Jerry's check we went into South Boston. He got his check cashed there, no problem.  We took a short drive around town and ended up back where we started. We saw several older homes and we enjoy doing that. While driving around South Boston, we discovered that they were having a festival, but we didn't stop and look around.  We headed back home because the dogs needed out.  After we got back home and the dogs got to potty we took each dog for a short drive around on the golf cart. They all loved that.

The new antenna has been installed, and I can get on line on the "new" modem while I'm at the office but not at the camper. We have 2 bars of strength  but no connection. (sigh) I didn't know if we should have tried that connection when I saw it in the network queue and now know I should have. I am just going to have to go up to the office each day and down load emails up there. I can read from here at the camper those that I need right off, but will wait until I get to the office to download all the emails I have. I'll also try to send off most of my notes at the same time.
I picked up an electric Skillet so I can cook Jerry's breakfast each morning as well as our dinners.

Howdy....

Howdy....  I hope your doing well today. It's been a cloudy day and a few rain drops have fallen from time to time.  It's been pleasant otherwise and I took Macon for a ride on the golf cart while I took the trash to the trash bin.  There were some people fishing at the lake but they were packing up when we got back. I had some stale bread that I gave to the ducks and one of the ladies took pictures of the ducks eating bread.  Rocky was mad because he didn't go for the ride and has been sitting with his back to me all afternoon now. The cats are enjoying the weather and are hunting in the woods for voles and leaving them for me to find.
We now have Dish Wi-Fi.  We get 20 gig per month 10 off hours and 10 on. Not sure how to find out when we are close to using them up.
From the kitchen...  Tonight is going to be Salad, Pork Roast with Green Beans and Potatoes cooked in the crock pot.
I am wearing...  Sweat pants and a white T-shirt with a heart on it.  I am thinking that it's time for me to put away all the summer clothes and start to get out all the fall and winter clothes.
I am reading...  Judges 4 in the Bible, I need to pick out a book to read.

9 24 Early Morning

Well, last night (Monday night) I decided I was too sleeply to stay up.  Of course just as I fall asleep my phone rings. My script is ready and if I don't pick it up tomorrow it will be put back on the shelf. I told the lady this is the first I heard that my script was ready(I have been waiting on a call from the doctor about starting one of them). So tongith's dinner plans have changed. We will eat out after we pick up my script and Jerry needs to get one of his refilled so it's not just for me.

I forgot when I headed to bed to take a night blood glucose reading. I need to get into a habit of that.
(6am)
Today, I wait for the Dish man to come install the Wi-fi for us. We are tired of waiting for the "free" wi-fi here at the campground to be fixed.. We will be liminted to a total of 20 g but we can live with that. I'm not sure what will happen if we go over that, I'm sure Jerry will tell me.

(3:30)
I now have Wi-fi. Still limited in how many gigs but we have more than we did before.. and I can always go up to the office to get on line to send off stuff.. Whooo hoooooooo ooooo.

Pictures, part 2

I am about as far from the office as I can get at this point. Love all the shade here. A perfect place to fish

you can see the dock for the paddle boats from here.

I love this sight along the water. Just starting to turn, weather is still warm enough to not need a jacket.

another of water and trees

This is just behind the camper.  I wanted a close up and I got it.

Looking through the trees. you can see why the deer like it back in here.

Pictures of my Drive around the lake

First off, Here is the back of the cart. See the leaves along the top? I need more but it's a good start, don't you think?

As I was standing by the cart I took this one. As you can see, the trees are still very green, but there is some color starting to show along the edges.

I like this bell.  I have never heard it be rung but I'm sure it works.

A closer peek at the bell

Just a few steps into my walk. It's a gentle uphill slope but still enough to make me stop and take a few pictures as I go around once.

We thought about coming up to this spot but there isn't a good place to let the dogs potty and if it's raining or icy would be very hard to get around. We love the deck though.

If you look close you can see that all the leaves have some yellow along the edges.

I stopped along the fence to take a picture of the playground. You can almost see the play fort through the trees

I've made the corner and can now see the office, clubhouse, laundry, shower and store.. all in one building.

My first stop while driving the cart is a small turn around area close to the lake but you can't see the water because of the underbrush. But I just couldn't resist taking a picture of the leaves.

Already the grass is starting to go dormant. You can see that it's gone to seed here and is drying up.

If you didn't notice in the picture above, there is a bit of yellow. Here is a closer picture of the flowers I found tucked away in that little turn around area.

Some of the leaves are not turning yet, but they are starting to look tired. I'm wondering if these will turn color or just fall off the tree.

You can just see the red leaves through the green of this tree, A beginning of Fall and the changing of the seasons.

I spotted this contrast and just had to take a picture of it. I never know if it will still be there next time I take the cart around the lake.

There's a lot of moss and lichen around here. The bank this is on is at the bvase of a tree and I just loved how it looked.

more to come...

Howdy September 19

Howdy.... And Good Day. Not sure when I'll send this off but it will be something today.
Yesterday was a very nice cool day. Today is going to be a bit warmer. I will have to remember to take my camera out with me today. There is color coming into the trees now but not yet that bold all over color just yet. Yesterday morning, We had a family of deer close to the camper. One must have made a sound because the dogs saw them and started barking at the noise then saw the white tails running away and the dogs were going from window to window trying to see where did they go. I do hope they come back again soon.
Yesterday afternoon, I took Barney for a ride on the cart to the other end of the lake. He got in the water 4 times. He loved running in and out of the water and following the edge of the water then jumping in again. Part of it, he could smell where the Geese had been and I'm sure he could smell other animals that had come down to get a drink from the lake. Then he would go roll in the grass on the other side of the road from the lake then want to get back into the water. It was fun watching him then he had to dry off a bit before I would let him back on the cart. He loves to swim but I think he got a bit chilled on the way back to the camper. He kept trying to hid behind me. I'll see if he wants to ride again either today or tomorrow. After Barney got his time in the water, I took Macon for a ride. That went fairly well. Better than the other two once he figured out how to sit on the seat. That is, until we saw a couple of squirrels playing tag in the trees by the road and Macon thought he was suppose to go help them play tag.  He quickly understood he had to stay in the cart and let the squirrels do their own thing. We stopped to talk to a couple of people on our way back to the camper and he was content to stay in the seat although I could see he wanted to go see the little boy and play with him like he does with Corbin.
We had all three cats inside for a bit last night. Two of them insisted I be their bed. Strips started on Jerry but he wanted to touch my arm.  He finally got off of Jerry and onto me and just laid down purring. Then Fuzzy came in and laid between us. Her head on me and her other end of Jerry's leg. When I went to go to bed I found Tupelo was asleep on my bed. She stayed in all night and went out when I took the dogs out for their first potty (at 4:30 am)
From the kitchen... What's for dinner today, Salad, Hamburger Helper and maybe these cookies.  I can't put raisins in them because Jerry doesn't like Raisins but I can put them in some of the cookies for me.

I am hearing... As always, I have the TV on. I just heard Barney yawn. I'm sure he wants out of the kennel and he will be soon as I finish writing this up, because it's about time to take them all outside again.  I heard the water dripping in the kitchen sink, and sometimes I can hear the motor on the fridge going. I don't have to have the fans on this morning as it's cool enough in here without them. I am hoping that I don't have to button up the camper and turn on the air this afternoon although I know I'll have to have the fans on before much longer. Once the sun gets above the trees I'll be opening up the back window and the door.
I am wearing... Yesterday was the first true pants day of this fall. It was that cool. Today though, I'm back in cut off sweat pants. I went through my drawer where I keep the shorts and pants but I think next week may well be the last week for shorts and so I'll be putting them away for winter and exchanging them for sweat pants and long skirts.  I took the extra blankets out of the tub I had in the back and now will use that for summer clothes storage. I will have to get Jerry to get the tubs out from under the camper so I can check and be sure those clothes have not mildewed or got mold on them and get them ready for fall and winter wearing.  I will have to start watching Wal-mart for a winter coat. My last one had a few issues so I got rid of it. I usually wait until I have the replacement before I get rid of a coat because I never know for sure if I'll be able to find one I like the next year or not.
I am reading... I just started Judges in the Bible.  I read in a couple of cook books yesterday, just to get some general ideas on what to fix when the weather turns really cold.

We are not moving

Well again.... We are not moving the camper this weekend or any time soon. The lot we wanted isn't going to open this winter as they are going to run new water, power and sewer lines... and hopefully we will not be without water when they do that.  I wanted to move "up front" but there are no other places that are going to work for us. No good spots to walk the dogs to.

On the other hand. we may be picking up a golf cart soon so I can "ride" up to the office area and get on line more often. Keeping fingers crossed for that. I can dump our trash, download emails and look up stuff for the crafts newsletter (hopefully).. But last year, they shut down the office except for weekends and there were weeks when I was the only person on the property. I can only hope that the wi-fi will be fixed before then.. not holding my breath on that either.

Well. it looks like we may be moving

Well. it looks like we may be moving the camper this weekend. Not far though. Last year, for many days, I was the only person in the campground and being here in the back made it very lonely. We are going to move to the front for more than a couple of reasons. Beside the weather being rough enough last year that Jerry had trouble driving up to the camper a time or two, or getting stuck, we just want to be closer to the paved road so he doesn't have to worry about getting out to get in to work.  I want to be able to "see" people. I know the dogs are going to be a hand full but they need to be where they can see people, as well. They need to be kept on the friendly side anyway and so they need to be where they can see people often.

Not sure yet, which lot we will be on but our address will not change that much.

I'm looking forward to even this small move as that area is all level(ish) and will be easier for me to walk around and I can go over to the office and use the Wi-Fi more often. It still won't be perfect but it will be easier for me to check in more often

Howdy, September 4th

Howdy....  Still without Wi-Fi at the camper. I  can get on with our Sprint, but we are limited to 4 Gig a month.
(6am)  Hard to believe but I have the back half of the camper done already except for sweeping the floor and I'll do that when I finish doing a bit of writing on this note. (there, that's done)
Just changed my earrings and put on three braclets. I bought 3 sets of 4 and have been changing which ones I wear. Red White and Blue for the past few days but now that Labor Day is past, been changing a bit away from that. Today is a Purple in the middle of two White (crystal) ones. The earrings I just put in are also White/Crystal although, as long as my hair has gotten I doubt the earrings can be seen. I know that my hair hids my bluetooth most of the time.

Outside my door ... ( 6am) It's still dark outside but today is to be in the low to mid 80's and mild. That's good as it's been a bit on the hot side the last few days. ( 10am)  Now that the sun is up, and it's been up a little while, it's still nice outside. Pleasent enough that I took a walk with Macon around the circle. Barney was not happy to have been left behind. The walk ended up being longer because I had to get to the camper, get the pooper scoooper and go back and "pick up" what Macon left in the middle of the drive-way, then back to the camper to dispose of it. That gave me almost 1,000 steps on my pedometer.  After talking with the doctor yesterday with Jerry, I do need to get back to doing my morning walks again.  He suggested that Jerry, not only keep doing what he does at work, but also walk at home as well.  He didn't do it last night, but I'm going to ask him to do walk after dinner, tonight. It's up to Jerry, He heard what the doctor said. Even if I can't get him up and around the circle I plan on taking Barney this next time around.
Rocky seems very content to let me walk one of the other dogs, If Jerry will walk, I'll ask him to take Rocky with him.

The Cats took a walk with Macon and I. Stripes got in front of me and rolled in the dirt while I was taking a short break. He loves to do that to me.  It's always funny that when I walk a dog the cats come along for the fun of it.
From the kitchen... What's for dinner today,A large Salad, The roast, green beans and potatoes I put in the crock pot yesterday. and I might cut up a cantalope into chuncks. I need to get them out of the fridge soon.
I am hearing... the T.V.  waiting for Beth to call me as she has been the last few weeks each morning.
I am wearing...  Black cut off sweat pants (shorts) a light (ie thin) splattered T-shirt that Bailie and I did last Summer.( I love it. ) white socks with pink toes and heels, clogs and I have a pedometer tied to my left leg just below the knee.  It's the only place I can put it and get a count from it.
I am reading...  I'm reading Joshua in the Bible, and I'm reading " A Little Book of Christmas".

Howdy, September 3

Howdy....
Jerry had Labor Day off. We did a whole lot of nothing. We tried to Geo-cache on Sunday but after spending over an hour looking for one, and then finding out the short walk was not so short for the second, we gave up and decided we need to find something else to do.
Jerry did okay at the doctors. His sugar is high, but seems to be coming under control a bit with the oral meds. He's to double them at the end of this week. Unless he starts to have more than juswt an upset tummy from them. ... he's to stay on his meds he was given scripts for, and double up the metformen next Friday unless we hear otherwise. If we don't hear about his lab results by noon, I'm to call and see if all is still good. He has an appointment on the 16, and so do I.

All is okay

All is okay. The campground is having some major issues with the Wi-Fi and I have to go to the office to get on-line.  Every time I ask, I'm told it's going to be fixed soon. Still waiting for some parts to come in UPS.  Then I guess we have to wait for the person who does the "fixin" to find the time to come do it.

I miss being able to send out my crafts newsletter. Donna is doing a great job with it, but I still miss finding all those cool, great ideas to share.
