a couple of recipes to share

I bought a church cookbook a couple of weeks ago.. and have been posting the recipes to different groups I'm in. I don't know why I didn't think to also post them to my blog.. where is my mind?


Pimento Cheese

"From Our Home to Yours"
Ozark First Church of the Nazarene"

8 oz Sharp Cheddar Cheese, grated and at room temp.
8 oz Medium Cheddar Cheese, Grated and at room temp
8 oz Cream Cheese, soften
1/4 cup Mayonnaise
1 small Jar Pimento, drained and mashed
1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper. or to taste
Combine Cheddar cheeses and Pimento. Mix softened Cream Cheese and Mayonnaise. Add to Cheese Mixture. Add Cayenne Pepper, mix well. Chill. This will be very firm and should be served at room teperature. Serve with crackero or it makes a great Sandwich. Can be chilled and made into a ball and then rolled in toasted chopped Pecans.

Breakfast Pie

1 Deep dish Pie Crust
6 Eggs
1 Cup Cheddar Cheese
1 Lb Sausage
Salt and Pepper to taste
Cook Sausage in skillet, Drain and crumble. Beat Eggs, pour into Pie Crust. Sprinkle Sausage on top of Eggs. Sprinkly Cheese on top of Sausage. Add Salt and Pepper to taste. Bake at 325F for 30 to 40 minutes.
