November 13, update

Hello, my friends
I am so bad about not keeping this blog up to date.  Not a whole lot has been going on with us. Still going to the local Senior Center, and playing Rummy.  We did dress up for the Halloween party. I went as a bag lady. That is, I wore a lot of bags about me.  large "totes" and plastic shopping bags. Hubby went as Santa Clause.
We didn't expect to win any prizes but there wasn't even a costume contest.. (bummer)
I have been working on some cards but Will have to send those pictures at another time. Those are on my cell phone and I don't have them on this computer I am using right this minute.
Now that I have turned 65, I have Medicare and have a PCP, now. I saw her on Nov 1 and we talked a bit about my past health care and goals.  Some adjustments are in the works. Will find out just what in a couple more months.  First, I need to have some blood drawn and then will see her in a couple more months.

Shared from southernliving.com: King Ranch Chicken Recipe

Hailing from an era when casseroles were king, this Tex-Mex dish still reigns supreme at church suppers and neighborhood potlucks. Though not an invention of the famed King Ranch%2it's more likely the creation of a ladies' Junior League%2the spicy flavors of chili powder, roasted peppers, and toasted cumin never fail to please. Just a mid year update.

We had a good and quiet Independence day.

WE didn't go watch the parade, this year.
We both just didn't feel like it. It was Too hot, too humid and too many people and without the kids here, there was no one to get candy for.
We did go watch the fireworks though. We found a great place that is kinda close to where they are set off. and so get a front seat showing. It lasted about 15 minutes, this year.  A bit shorter than in the past years but still a very good show.  This weekend is the Hee Haw Talent show. We have never gone to that but understand it's a great, fun show.  The whole town gets in on it. The Local, downtown stores all have displays and sales to help sponsor the show. There should also be a car show next weekend.
Our Daughters had a great visit, with the older one going to visit the younger one and all those kids had a blast, together.
Meanwhile here in town, we had rain almost every day.  Just enough that the Community garden that we are tending to, did not need us to go water any of the raised beds.  I did water all the porch plants since they did not get as much water as those in the ground got.

I picked up my CAP today. I will start using it, tonight. We will need to pick up some Distilled water, for it.
