This is a great late fall, or early Winter hot drink to share with others. If needed you can add a bit of sugar or better yet, honey, if it isn't sweet enough for you.
HOT SPICED CIDER
6 cups apple cider
½ tsp. whole cloves
¼ tsp. ground nutmeg
3 cinnamon sticks
½ tsp. whole cloves
¼ tsp. ground nutmeg
3 cinnamon sticks
Heat all ingredients to boiling in a 3 quart saucepan over medium high heat. Then reduce heat. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Strain cider mixture to remove cloves and cinnamon. Serve hot.
