Ah, September.  The transient month from Summer to Autumn.
I felt the Big sigh, a couple of weeks ago, as August hit its mid-point. The Big Sigh is a coronation  of smells and sense of the trees  changing from their leaves being green to changing to their more natural colors. Oh I know that the color change is still a while before it starts, but there is just a hint of a scent. A slightly dusty hint, a bit misty, almost floral scent that remi ds me of a bit of a melancholy feeling that Summer truly is winding down and the trees are ready to go to sleep for a while.

Soon the scents of fall will really fill the air. The last cutting of hay, laying in the fields to dry before being baled and stored to fees livestock through winter. Burning leaved, and wood to clear up and clean the yards for one last time. Lawnmowers last ru.n liver the lawns before being put away for winter. Flowers last burst of blossoms, turning into seeds to drop, ready to wait until early next Spring and new growth and renewal.
