I love my life. I keep busy with taking care of my Hubby and our pets. I am sure that Life is more than a clean kitchen and empty sink. If you were to visit me, you may find some craft or another 1/2 done on the table. We no longer travel since Hubby has retired, but we still enjoy seeing new places and faces.

Up date on Me..
Up date on Me..
I had three appointments yesterday. The morning appointment was with an eye doctor. He can just examin and then recommend that you go to someone else. I'll be going to Duke Medical in Jan for a consult on my eyes but it looks like I will have to have surgury on my right eye. I don't know anything about my left eye. I can't see much out of it and when I was doing to eye chart, I couldn't even tell that the largest letter was an E until she held a chart much closer to my face. All I could see was a white blur. Jerry got to the eye doctors about 1 pm and my next appointment wasn't until 1 45. That one was a dye contrast CAT Scan on my kidneys. Because of the dye, I'm to not take my Metformin until I see the doctor again. From there was a quick trip down a different hall and the ultrasound on my thyroid gland was done. Of course, those giving the tests can't tell you any thing at all. ;I see the two doctors Monday afternoon. In the mean time, I am trying to not worry about what I may hear.
On top of all that, I have a head cold. constant cough. and when I cough, I wee, just a little bit... and with the Kidney stones, I'm to drink lots of water.. the dye needs to be washed out of my system as well, so more water. Yikes. I'm beginning to think I slosh when I walk. The head cold finally "broke" this morning and the post nasel drip has stopped. I'm not sure what is safe to take and what is not. I did take a decongestant last night, it didn't help much. I've taken a couple of naproxen sodium. I have percaset and Oxie codon (spelling?) for the pain in the kidneys but I don't want to take any thing that strong unless I really need to.
I've lost some weight. yesterday, I stepped on the scale and I'm down to 286. I have met my goal of ending the year weighing less than I started the year.

Howdy.... Good Afternoon.
Howdy.... Good Afternoon. I hope this note finds you doing well. I am at the office, doing laundry and there isn't any Wi-fi. I came up here to also download my email and send a few things while I wait for the machines do their work. Ah well. it is what it is. I'm just surprised that no one is here at the office yet. I'll go look around the corner in a few minutes and find out if the office hours have changed again. Today is a nice day. Saturday was gray and foggy all day long. If it wasn't foggy then it was smoke in the air from some forest fires that are way away from her but the air stream was bringing the smoke up this way. We could smell the smoke every where we went. Yesterday wasn't as bad. it stayed cloudy but it was warmer. While Jerry took a nap in the afternoon, I came up to the office to download my mail from the weekend and found Deb was soaking some of her Hubby's clothes in the sink. I knew she would be here soon, so I also down loaded a couple of book for the kindle reader on my PC.
Yesterday I got a pleasant surprise, I got two dollar coins in change. I could have asked him to take them back, but I collect them to spend at special events and if I find I'm getting more than a few then I know I have a good chance of going to an event.... I hope so.

Outside my door ... We have a good breeze going, it's close to 70 and I don't have to wear a jacket even to drive the gold cart to do my laundry or take the trash to the trash bin. It's Sunny. The last three or four days have been cloudy and just plain out dreary. We had rain over night but it all blew out before the sun come up this morning.
The Dogs ... have been enjoying the cooler weather and I have given them more room on their leads to run and play with each other. The brown drive along has left and so there are only 5 campers up in our section. One has someone come in one day each week for a few hours, besides ours, two are being lived in full time and the other one is parked but not being lived it. The other two full timers are hardly ever home during the week days so I can give the dogs a bit more lee way when it comes to barking and rough housing with each other in the afternoons.
Rocky has become more playful with the cooler days and will even start a game with Barney. Macon is always ready for a good romp with Barney, as well. We have finally taken the dogs for a ride in the cab of the truck. Two rides really. The first time was around the country block. The second was not nearly so far, it was to the trash bin and back home.

The Cats ... have discovered that I have an electric blanket and I turn it on at night. They all three want to cuddle up around my feet. I didn't have to turn it on last night, and two of the cats stayed outside last night. The third one slept with Jerry last night. They will come in around 7 PM. Stripes will try to lay on Jerry, if he's not on the couch then he tries to lay on my shoulder. Fuzzy tries to find a place on Jerry's lap. Tupelo goes straight back to the beds and is content to find a corner to stay in.
From the kitchen...
Salad, Pasta with ground pork in the pasta sauce, Pudding for dessert. I think I better make cinnamon popcorn today after I finish up doing laundry because I need a fairly dry day to make it in and tomorrow looks like it may be rainy a bit. much cooler at least.

I am hearing... The three dryers going. A jet went over head a bit ago. I hear the dry leaves tapping along the sidewalk because I have the door open. The laundry room gets a heavy smell to it from time to time and needs aired out badly.
I am wearing... brown sweat pants and a black shirt that has horses on it.
I am reading... Dragon Girl, and just started Amish White Christmas.
I am creating... some Santa Christmas ornaments. I printed out some Santa's last week . I found some frozen juice lids I had saved and used one to draw a circle around so I could cut out the Santa's to fit inside each. Painted each lid with white spray paint. Sprayed each Santa with Clear Paint (sealant) and used my Xyron to put glue on the backs of the pictures and set them in each lid. Now I'm debating on wether to pour some resin in each or just cover the rims with ribbon and put a magnet on the back of each.
I painted my finger nails with a brown I found at Wal mart that looks like it may be for a dark person to use for French Nails, then put a brass sparkle on top of that. I found a yellow sparkly polish at Dollar General and put that on one thumb to see how that looks over the brass and I like it. I need to figure out a way to make a card that tells me what polish I used and have it look like what is on my fingers.
One of my favorite things... watching the wild life around here. They have so much fun.
A few plans for the rest of today...
Put away the clean laundry
wash the spare kennel
make dinner, including pudding for our dessert
clear off the table so I can start sewing a dress I have cut out for Bailey

A few plans for the rest of the week... Some baking, some cleaning. some packing, some organizing, Turn a yellow sweat shirt into a light jacket for a friend. I need to cut it, turn the edges and sew them down, then crocheted around the edges with some yarn.

Snowman Project plus some fall projects
I saw a really cute Snowman on Face book made with a battery operated tea light. No instructions with it. While straightening up I found one of those lights and thought. Hum, why not?
I had painted my fingernails the day before with Orange over white and still had the polish out. I used a thin coat of it to "paint" the light part orange so it would look more like a carrot. I then got out my black polish and Dabbed on two larger dots with just a bit of a line off to the side to make eyes with a toothpick, then using the same toothpick but less polish, dabbed on 5 or 6 smaller dots to make a face. I had to go to Wal-mart for the red ribbon because I could not find any here at the camper. I still need to make a hat but at least right now, I'm happy with how it turned out.
While I had the black polish out, I decided to make "faces" on my thumbnails.
I saw this idea on Pintrest if I remember. Only it called for real leaves. I found a couple of packs of leaves at the local Dollar store and picked them up,, this took less than one pack. I thought it would be too flimsy but it will hold a small amount of candy. Just use Modge Podge to glue leaves on a plastic wrapped bowl, allow to dry and then peal away the wrap.
I had out the spray paint and I painted a Nut can I had pealed the label off of pink. Pink was just the one I had in my hand but I could have used any other color. using the left over leaves from the bowl, I used my Xyron to put glue on the back of them and then placed them around the can. It was a whim to see how it would look. Of course, I had to put a couple (3 really) On the lid.

Howdy, Oct 24, 2013
Howdy.... Good Afternoon. I hope you are doing well and keeping happily busy. It's cold outside today compared to yesterday. I need a jacket to go outside and tomorrow is suppose to be even colder than today. Yikes I'm not ready for freezing weather at all. At least it's not raining along with being cold. That may happen next week for all I know.
The Dogs are enjoying these cooler days and love to play together then lay out in the sun for a bit. I let them when I can and even take them out an extra time or two just so they can play. The cats are not as happy with this weather and two of them slept inside last night. I expected Tupelo to come in but she didn't come to the door. Fuzzy used Jerry for a bed all evening and didn't want to move when he went off to his own bed. When we got up this morning she and Strips were curled up together on his side of the couch and Macon was sleeping on my side of the couch, with his nose tucked under his tail. I guess his nose was cold cause he didn't want to get up when I started Jerry's breakfast
From the kitchen... I'm still debating wether to eat out or cook up something tonight. I'm doing laundry right now and if it takes me longer than I figured we will eat out. Otherwise I'll make hamburger something. Just can't make up my mind what that will be, I could just form patties and cook those, cook the last of the hash brown potatoes I have in the freezer and a salad .I am hearing... The dryer's working, they are rather noisy and so I'm not even going to try to hear anything else right now.
I am wearing... sweat pants (Maroon) and a pink T-shirt with butterfly's on it. not much longer and I'll have to wear long sleeves all the time. I'm not looking forward to that at all.

I am reading. I just finished reading Judges in The Bible and will start Ruth tomorrow. Funny how no one talks about every thing that is at the end of Judges. Fighting between the families and why they fought. I guess it's a pick and choose what you want to know sort of thing.
I am thinking. How I can stretch my food money this week so I can help Beth out a bit more. We have a large bill we have to pay this week and two next week and I'm not sure just how much I can send her this week. Thank God though, she found a job and will be filling out the paperwork tomorrow. I'm waiting to hear from Beth on what the doctor says is making Heather sick. I am praying that she never has to take her to the ER in the middle of the night ever again with a high fever.
I am hoping that Jerry has another job to go to when this one is finished. He should have but nothing is ever promised. If we do have to move, I hope and pray that it's south of here and not north. I don't want to even think about moving "up north" in winter with a camper, pets and everything we have with us.
I am creating.... I just found the artificial leafs I picked up to make a candy dish with while cleaning out a tub of stuff and once I get back to the camper think I will start that since it will need many coats of Modge Podge and will have to dry between coatings of leafs and glue. I tossed all the newspaper I had to make a paper mache pumpkin because I no longer have time to do that for Halloween this year. I will have to make a note to start that in August next year so there is plenty of time for it to dry and to be sealed with clear paint.
One of my favorite things... driving around the campground, taking pictures of the lake

Ut Oh
Jerry said that as he was going to work Monday morning a deer ran out of the woods along the roadside and hit the back of the truck. He looked but didn't see any damanges done to the truck. I forgot I wanted to check it out when we went out to find something to put the air conditioner in that night. We were looking for a large plastic tub to put the air in and we didn't have any luck on that. Jerry ended up buying two 6 x 8 tarps and we will just wrap it in lots of plastice and then wrap a tarp around it. Not the ideal way to take care of it but it's better than leaving it out in the weather. When he got in last night (Tuesday) He forgot that he wanted to use the tail gate to set the Air conditioner unit on so it would be easy to reach around and wrap in plastic. He did get back in and back up the truck a bit more when I reminded him. But Rocky was very intrested in the passenger side fender well. There's now a dint in the fender on that side cause Jerry hit another deer on his way in to work yesterday morning, as well. I told him I think he has his limit on Deer this hunting season. ( a joke) It's not a big dint but it's there. I just hope there are no more deer hits to that truck.

Haunted Trail
Here at the campground we are at, they have a Haunted Trail. part of the proceeds will go to a local charity (how much is that part, I don't know) It started on Friday. Is two days this week and two days next week ( Friday and Saturday)
Friday, I got a call, could I please come up to the office and cut out letters for this year's menu because they wanted to change things up a bit, add a couple of items and change a couple of prices from last years' menu. Sure, give me 20 minutes. I really needed a shower before going anywhere and I had been putting it off until the camper got warmed up well. I spent from 1 pm until after 5 pm cutting out letters and numbers with my Cricut. But it was fun. There were young people in and out all afternoon long. I lent my golf cart to two so they could go paint a couple of signs and I'm sure they did a little carting around with it, as well. One of the teenage girls was worried they would wreck it and asked me if I was worried they would do that. I told her no more than when I drive it. I am as apt to wreck it as they are. No wrecks, just a broken key fob.. and I knew it was not going to last long so it was no biggie. by 5 I had the last of the numbers and letters cut out and ready to glue to the menu board, but hadn't started that part of it. I had to run back to the camper, let the dogs out, take my insulin and a pill, microwave and then eat a dinner, then get dressed for my part of the trail. I was stationed in "The Town". I asked if there was a way to get a ride there? No, I had to walk there. I got asked several times if I was okay or did I feel like I was going to Fall Out. (Pass out) No, I have COPD and just have to take it slow and steady. I was wringing wet by the time I got to the town which is over 2/3rds of the way down the trail from where I started from. That walk warmed me up well and I stayed warmed up until about 10:30. Even then I didn't get chilly. The lady who was across from me, She was chilled all evening long. (Last night she was not as chilled.) We had a blast. We have about 20 to 30 groups come through, and we got all but one of them to jump. Last night we half as many people come through. We had rain all day long and the trail was a bit slick, it wasn't really that bad. Hopefully next weekend it won't be raining and more people will come out.
We had one incident though. A young lady (Guest) had an asthma attack and needed to take a break as she had already used her inhaler twice and she had to wait before using it again. Deb and I didn't hear any one saying that she was in distress and for us to not spook her. Anyway. She had her trouble once she got past us but not too far away. She was okay but needed a place to rest. So we brought her behind the "house" I'm stationed in and let her sit on my golf cart for a little while until she got her breath back and calmed down a bit. Joan was making her rounds checking that the "Kids" were staying where they were suppose to and came along at just the right time to escort her the rest of the trail with word going ahead to not scare her because she was escorting out a guest. Everyone was surprised that I offered to drive her back the way she had come and back to the office to wait for her family but she wanted to go on, just not be scared again. (I can understand that) But I don't understand why my offering her a ride back the ways she came was a surprise. Clearly she made the choice but the option was there. I told every one that one of the reasons I brought the cart is because I can't make that walk two nights in a row, but also because if something happens to any one on this side of the station with the strop lights, I could at least get them back to where the tractor is, and if necessary, I could drive around and come in from the other direction and pick up someone, as well. But I know a pickup truck can come down the other side, if needed. I was more afraid of a twisted ankle, to be sure but the offer was there. I did give the girl a bottle of water as I have several in the tub on the back of my cart. And after about 10 minutes she was ready to go on. The rest of the night was fairly calm after that. I lent Joan one of my lights and she dropped it and the back came off and it lost a battery. She thought she had broken it and was going to replace it. No, that's not necessary. and when I looked at it showed her how the back comes off and that the only problem is he lost battery and they were getting weak anyway and it was time to replace them. So last night was a bit more exciting than the night before.
As "Town's people" we are not expected to be dressed as spooky or have to wear a mask or make up as much as the rest of the people working the trail but last night, I did. I mixed 1 part green with 3 parts white to have a green cast, then added lots of red dots, some of which ran. When I saw Joan to let her know I was on my way to my station she loved it. I told her. I have the Pox. When Deb showed up, I did her face in white and gave her the Pox as well. A while later Noah came to help out, as well and we had the perfect place in the trees for him. I gave him two black eyes (with eye shadow) and covered the upper part of his face green so he looked more like a tree oger (for a little guy that is) and he loved it. Here are a couple of pictures. Me done up and Noah. I didn't have a mirror with me to show him what I had done so I took his picture to show him.

Howdy....
Howdy.... Good Afternoon. It has been raining off and on all day, more so this afternoon. Once this rain moves out, it's suppose to get colder.
I took the golf cart around this morning to take the trash to the bin. I covered it up again when I got back to keep the "decorations" dry.
I don't know when the rain is suppose to end but I heard that tomorrow will be very nice for the Haunted Trail. Had a bit of a scare yesterday. One of the boys helping to set up got hurt. He's got a badly bruised leg but at least it's not broken.I had Rocky with me when it happened and he was upset because he could hear the pain in the boys voice.
The Dogs ... are not happy with this weather. They don't want to stay outside for more than necessary.
Two of the Cats are sleeping on our beds right now. They dont like this weather either.
From the kitchen... I'm going to brown up some burger, then add it to a package of Noodles. Of course I'm going to make up a salad. I think I'll open a can of peas to go with it all.
I am wearing... Black sweat pants and a white T-shirt with a beaded butterfly on it.
I am reading... Still reading Forwarned.
I am thankful for... Matthew Not haveing a broken leg. I knw he's sore but that will heal
I am hoping... That the rain stops and that I can find out where I'll be stationed on soon. I want to see it in the daylight so I will be comfortable in the dark there.
I am creating... I used my Xyron to put "glue" on the back of a few things I had cut out a while ago then stuck them onto some blank cards I have made up, as well. I an looking for my craft journal so I can write that into it. I washed the mats to my Cricut as well and they are now drying in the dish rack. I am thinking of doing some paper cutting here in a bit.
One of my favorite things... Watching the dogs play. They can get so goofy

While I was driving Rocky around the path, we had to weave our way around a few things. Rocky thought these were real people and I had to let him smell them up close before he stopped growling at them

Howdy....
Howdy.... I do hope that your having a great day. It's a bit cloudy and cool here but not so cool that I can't have the door open for a bit. The back window is open and the cats seem to think it's their personal doorway into the camper. The trees here are very pretty, that is the ones that haven't lost their leaf's yet. I need to take more pictures. Yesterday, I took my four Mum plants to the entrance and planted them under the sign to the campground around the roses.. So many thorns that I have to be extra careful.
The first night of the trail is coming up and I still don't know where along the trail I'll be stationed and what I'm expected to do. We will see.
I decorated my golf cart yesterday, all but the lights. I still need to find command hooks to put them up with. I could use tie wraps but I'd rather use the command hooks cause I can put them where I want them.
The dogs are enjoying this weather. They get to spend over 45 minutes outside most morning and time outside in the afternoon, before I start dinner and about 15 minutes before Jerry gets home from work. Barney wants to play and Macon will usually play with him, Rocky, not so much, but every now and then he will start something. I need to get the play balls out from under the couch again and take one out for Barney. Yesterday afternoon it was the yellow squeeky ball and he had a blast squeeking it and tossing it then bringing it to me to toss for him. He has so much fun with that ball. He was wore out and went to sleep early last night. while cleaning out the living room I noticed that the dog's toy box was in sad shape to I've tossed it out after I emptied it. I tossed all of Barney's rocks outside and he found one and was playing with it while we were waiting for Jerry to get home from work.
That is one big rock that Barney loves to play with.
Dinner tonight is going to be a Salad, Chicken baked in a can of Cream of Chicken soup, and I'm thinking of making either a pot of rice or instant mashed potatoes to go with them. I made up a Sugar Free Chocolate Pumpkin Cake yesterday by putting a can of pumpkin in a sugar free cake mix and it was okay but I'll not be doing that again. Jerry wasn't happy with it. I do have a white cake mix that I'll do next time, and I'll add some pumpkin pie spice to it when I make it up.
I am hearing... I have caught up all the back shows of Y&R through last Friday. I am saving that one, Mondays and maybe yesterday's show as well.. I will have to see today's show before I make up my mind on it as well. Right now, the noon news is coming on

I decorated my golf cart.....
I decorated my golf cart.....
But First. I read this and had to try it. Cut an orange in 1/2 remove the fruit but leave the thing in the middle that all the slices are attached to. Pour in a bit of vegetable oil, allow to soak a few minutes.. then light. Instant oil candle.
One of the signs I've been working on. and the messy table we were working around.
and another one of the signs
We curled the fingers back so he's pointing toward the campground....
I made the web out of black crochet thread.
The bugs are stuck on with rubber cement
I lost two of the gourds on my drive around to the trash bin. I expected those two wouldn't make it though.
